Very peacefull and beautiful

It was opened in 1997 on the initiative of the former mayor Mikhail Pozhivanov. The laying of the first stone and the consecration of the site, on which the St. Michael's Cathedral was erected two years later, took place in 1995. By this time, the adjacent territory had already been ennobled, and a monument to Metropolitan Ignatius of Mariupol, the heavenly patron of the city, was erected nearby. Today the church has become the hallmark of the city. The bright and spacious upper church gathers from two hundred to a thousand parishioners for services and consists of three sections. The central limit is consecrated in the name of the Archangel Michael. The main shrine of St. Michael's Cathedral is a list of the icon of the Mother of God "Life-giving source", written at the beginning of the 19th century. During the Great Patriotic War, when the atheist authorities destroyed churches, the icon was kept by the parishioners. After a difficult period of persecution and turmoil, the icon of the Mother of God was restored and returned to the churches. Every Friday and Sunday in front of this icon, a prayer service for the water is performed. Around the church there is a very beautiful area with a magnificent sea view.

Beautiful place. It's a pity that not many tourists know about it. And the place deserves attention. Also opens from the observation deck, a wonderful view of the city.
