A bank employee in the process of issuing a card was interested in what amount would periodically be on the card. 09/12/2020 at 15:15 a call comes from the office. OTP Bank numbers +380444900526 (!), the fraudster knows in advance all the card data (including the CVV code) and the owner's data, reports that they are unauthorizedly trying to withdraw money from the card, and if it is not you (the cardholder), then it needs to be blocked. The cardholder agrees to block the card, to block it, you need to confirm the action with a password, an SMS message with a password comes, the fraudsters are told the password - and, voila, all the money is debited from the card (!) The money was transferred fraudulently to another card. The money was transferred by the IPAY.UA service, the number of the recipient's card was named on the service, but not all numbers - 4323 35 ** **** 6661 (A-BANK card). The support service of OTP Bank (they called back to the same incoming, official, phone number) did not help in any way, did not assist in finding and blocking intruders, they advised to contact the cyber police. Cyberpolice does not work on weekends - this is such a beautiful move. We went to the police, the statement was made. A-BANK's support service refused to verify the data and block funds on the attackers' card, no assistance was provided. This is how cybercrime flourishes, banks are throwing people away, they do not want to assist in the search for criminals, your data is leaked to convicts.
