Construction of the church began in 1907 on land donated by local landowner Andriy Arshenevsky. August 13, 1948 - by the decision of the executive committee of Zhytomyr, the Roman Catholic community of the Kroshen church was deregistered, and a club was established in the church, which later became a library. In 1957, the Kroshensky consumer society was located in the auxiliary buildings of the church, and since 1960 the Zhytomyr food factory of the regional consumer union (production of sausages) was located here. On October 9, 2001, the registration of the Kroshen Roman Catholic parish of St. Wenceslas, a March 21, 2002 - the church building was solemnly returned to Roman Catholics. A memorial sign in the form of a cross on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the parish has been erected in the landscaped area of ​​the church.

It is a valuable and interesting building for the Zhytomyr residents both in historical and cult sense. Built at the beginning of the last century and revived from the sausage shop a century later at the expense of the faithful at the initiative of Bishop Jan Purvinsky and thanks to the leadership of the Catholic prelate, Father Ludwig Kamilewski, the first anniversary of his death was a celebration.
