The Catholic parish in Lake Ozero was founded in 1630. At this time the first wooden church was erected. This church, under the title of St. Joseph, erected in 1864. In 1926-1927 the church was reconstructed, and in 1934 the bell tower was rebuilt. Now the church of St. Joseph is served by priests from the Ternopil parish of God's Mercy and the Mother of God of Perpetual Help.
