Nativity of Theotokos Cathedral

The Nativity of the Theotokos Church was erected in Piryatin in 1781 by order of the regimental assassin AM Ilchenko. At first it looked like a rectangle, drawn from east to west, and in its shape repeated traditional three-parted wooden churches of the time. After the reconstruction of the XIX century the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin in Piryatin turned into a three-nave five-story temple. Despite the restoration work carried out in the cult building in 1980, designed by architect VI Korneeva, no purpose was used in the USSR. In 1990, the Piratina Cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin was donated to the religious community (UOC MP), and is now the current temple of the Piryatynsky Piety of the Kremenchug Diocese.
