The Holy Trinity Church is one of the numerous architectural monuments of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky. The church was located at the corner of Shevchenko and Gymnasium streets. The first cathedral was built in the city in the 17th century, it was in the same place as the modern church. But the structure was wooden and in the 18th century, after a lightning strike, burned from the fire. The money for the construction of the new temple was collected throughout the city. Construction was successful and did not last long, in 1804 the new Trinity Church was consecrated. The architectural style of the cathedral is ancient Russian, it also includes elements of classicism. 60 years later the bell tower was added to the cathedral.
