Interesting Facts: In 1861, for the first time in our country, the Manifesto on the liberation of peasants from serfdom was read in the premises of St. Nicholas Church. At that time, the temple remained the only information center where people could learn about the events in the state. On May 15, 1875, in the house of the rector of the Mykolaiv Cathedral, Archbishop Kherson and Odessa Leontiy met with the hero of the War of 1812 and the Crimean campaign, Count Dmitry Osten-Sacken, in Bobrynka. According to documentary data, it was in Bobrynka that the count was baptized. In gratitude, he donated significant funds to the church for the purchase of church supplies and Greek icons of the XVI-XVII centuries, which had been prayed for nearly two hundred years by parishioners. But, unfortunately, there were evil people who abducted these shrines. The walls of the church heard the prayers of O. Pushkin, I. Pokhitopov, M. Sochevanov, P. Dostoevsky, M. Zankovetska. Here, for the first time, the spiritual hymn "God, the Great, the Only One ..." was played. Its author, Alexander Konissky, was in exile in Bobrynka. The activities of Mark Kropyvnytsky and Ivan Tobilevich, who sang in the church choir and participated in all the church services, are closely connected with the temple.
