Poezite Roman Catholic Church of St .. Ignatius Loyola. Street I. Frank, 18. It was built in 1897 by the architect D. Ksichkovsky as a Roman Catholic church of the Jesuit fathers. After World War II, the temple was closed and from 1950 it was first used as a warehouse of goods for various purposes, and after the opening of 1973, the furniture store in the prefabricated to the main facade of the premises - as a furniture warehouse. In 1990, the church was returned to the Roman Catholic community, a copy of the miraculous image of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the pre-war parochial church was installed in the main altar, and in 2007, with the participation of the Kolomyian artists, the restoration of wall paintings was completed. Beautiful church, inside and out. We were glad that we, the tourists, were allowed to go inside. Inside it is beautifully decorated and majestic, the outside light here is not bright, rather calm. The architecture seems familiar, but in fact it is not.
