Armenian church

Very impressive especially at night. Armenian Church, 1742 - 1762 In the Baroque style, it was built on the site of a wooden one, founded in 1665. The first known restorations and reconstructions were made in 1811 and 1829. During a fire in 1868, the building was partially destroyed. After an unsuccessful restoration carried out in 1868 according to the project of Ing. Trele, the building has significantly changed its appearance. The two round towers flanking the main façade have become significantly lower, and their ends - helmets of a baroque silhouette - have been replaced with ordinary bell-shaped domes. The pediment became different in its configuration, the small tower that crowned the roof disappeared. The interior of the church is decorated with sculptures (Matvey Polejovsky) and frescoes (Yan Soletsky).

Beautiful church with an interesting facade. Maybe it would need a little reconstruction. The middle is also beautiful, but the style of appearance does not match the style of the interior. Although it is hidden behind other houses, but due to the bright color, it is visible from afar.
