Masterpiece of the Carpathean architecture. Very warm atmosphere inside. Will visit this church again after the restoration works are over.

The church is wooden, built of spruce beams, three-log, with three log cabins of different sizes. The walls above the attic and roofs are covered with shingles, the tower - with an oak ploughshare. The foundation is made of river stone on clay mortar. Above the Babinka rises a square tower with a two-tiered Baroque finish. The attic, based on the protrusions of the logs, gently covers the building on all sides and covers the porch on the west facade, which is decorated with carved columns. Threads are applied to the door panels. The nave and the eastern part have a box vault, the vestibule has a flat ceiling. Thanks to the common roof over the three logs, the monument looks compact, its three-component structure is almost imperceptible from the outside. [1] Deftly made of solid logs log walls. The planes of the gable roof, covered with shingles, shimmer with all shades of spruce wood. The tower with a baroque finish is one of the proportionally most advanced among such towers. The porch columns are profiled, the door jamb has a thread. The nave and the altar frame are covered with an arched vault, the nave is flattened. Part of the impeccable architectural ensemble is a charming slender bell tower eight meters high, the lower tier of which is log, and the upper, much elongated - frame. A similar bell tower stood in the Lower End, in the old cemetery, but it was dismantled in the 1940s. Two ancient stone crosses have been preserved near the church. The bell tower, square in plan, is built of the same material as the church, with a chopped first tier of fear and a frame - the second. The tent roof of the bell tower and the walls are covered with shingles. Huklivska Church is the oldest wooden church in the Volovets district, built in the 18th century from fir on a river stone foundation, and it belongs to the Verkhovyna masterpieces. The church is amazingly slender and proportionate. Each element organically passes into another. Possibilities of a tree as a material are opened here completely and in expedient lines of a design, and in restrained art accents. In 1784, the German master Franz Peer painted the Church of the Holy Spirit. This is one of the few surviving paintings in wooden churches in Transcarpathia. In the Church of the Holy Spirit was written Hukliv Chronicle - a kind of Transcarpathian chronicle of 1660-1812. From 1998 to 2001, the church fell into disrepair due to indifference to the cultural values of local authorities. Shingles (shingles) rotted and rain poured inside. The most affected were corner joints, log crowns, porches, and fences. At the end of 2001, the public managed to cover the roofs and roofs with new shingles at the cost of great efforts, but the wood of the logs was affected by the fungus and in some places rotted. The church was closed for a long time and was called the "museum of atheism", which allowed to keep the interior and iconostasis of 1784 intact. The monument was restored in 1970-1971. uk.wikipedia.org

The Church of the Holy Spirit in the village of Guklyi, Transcarpathian region, was erected at the expense of the local community in the XVIII century. in the style of the Lemkov school of folk architecture of fir wood, installed on a complex foundation of river stone and is located in the upper end of the village. Although the church is somewhat removed from the Volovets-Mizhgirya highway, it is certainly worth seeing, heading, for example, to the Shipot waterfall or Lake Synevir, because the distance is only 1.5 km.
