The church was built in 1885 on the site of the old traditional three-story Ukrainian church built in 1770. What happened to the previous temple is unknown. Possibly destroyed intentionally or burned in a fire. The new church was built in the typical synodal type. Two baths were demolished during the Soviet rule, and only one was restored during independence. Today the church belongs to the PCU and is the spiritual center of the village.
