Illinska Church

The Orthodox Church of the XI-XII centuries. The sole survivor in the Ukraine one-nave church of Kievan Rus. As a result of reconstructions seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, it also acquired Ukrainian baroque. Up to now it has reached the iconostasis in 1774 in the Rococo style. Currently, the church is a museum exposition. During the repair took place during my visit.

A unique place in Chernigov. The Antony Mountains are closed for visiting. There is a well nearby. The water contains a large amount of iodine, very useful for the thyroid gland, and just drink, do not forget to take a container. A little further you can walk to the house of Lavrentiy Chernigov.
