The Square

Decided at the last minute to check this place out recently on a Thursday late afternoon/early evening. We are all 3 happy we did! We ordered 2-flat iron steak dinners with lots of choices to choose from for sides, I personally chose a baked potato with butter & sour cream, & a salad. My son ordered the shrimp scampi dinner with their macaroni & cheese as his side. Our food came out at a reasonable timeframe & was cooked to perfection as well as piping hot. I always ask for medium to medium-well depending on what type of steak I am having & it was cooked perfectly to order. It was delicious right down to the last bite. It was priced very reasonable especially compared to other items offered on their menu! Try this place out, you’ll be glad you did! I know it’s our new fave - oh & the service was out of this world great too!

They food is very good as I stated before in my review, however with a pandemic in full force I’m disappointed that the staff doesn’t wear any protection. I did see them quickly wipe the table off. We would eat there more often if they took better precautions against the virus.

I like the actual setup a nice selection of dishes at a decent price. this place was referred to me by a couple friends that had happened upon it on one of their outings. they told me the same thing they thought the place was cute the staff was friendly although the food was only okay. and I have to agree. the menu is good but the execution was only okay. I had the shrimp scampi and and there was an off-putting taste. everyone else agreed that the food was okay not out of this world. I think they have a great Base with menu execution just needs to be better. also the booth that we sat in was in direct line with the setting sun to where you could not even see to speak with the person across from you. the waitress did say that they were working on fixing it. I would advise they don't send anyone there until it is it made it quite uncomfortable. I had to get up and move to a different table while I left the rest of my party to finish their meal. we also had drinks from the bar. Their bloody Mary's are good!

Downtown on the Square was a very good experience. They have been practicing the social distancing to our satisfaction every time we have been there. The menu is good, and the service is great.
