This was a very nice area, with some great trails. This isn't a deep in the woods type of area and at times you can hear traffic surrounding, that's the only bad part. But the trails are nice and its close to the zoo, Japanese gardens and few memorials. Definitely a great place to visit for multiple things to do.nnPRO TIP - So when I visited we had rented a car, and paid for parking near the zoo. If you're going to just walk the trails drive and find parking next to a trail's entrance for FREE.

I didn't realize this park was here. I was waiting for my 1030 time slot at the Japanese garden and decided to take a stroll across the road to see what others were looking at. I'm not crazy about roses but this beautiful garden with row after row of of different types of roses was something to see. They have picnic tables just before you enter. This garden is amazing and I can't imagine taking another trip to the Japanese garden without taking more time to stop and smell dozens of roses here. It was like something out of a book. I definitely have a greater appreciation for these flowers.

Lots of beautiful hikes. The rose garden was in full bloom and was beautiful. Helpful staff with a great shuttle service in case you get tired. Easy to get to using the Max blue line. Too busy to do the zoo. Next time.

There is a tremendous amount this place has to offer to the community! I spent a day between the Japanese Gardens, the Rose Test Gardens (and it's amphitheater), the Secret Garden, and the Holocaust Memorial; yet I feel there is still much to explore! Parking was scarce & $2 an hour or $8 for the day, but worth it considering all but the Japanese Gardens was free. I observed a huge and elaborate children's playground with a large covered picnic shelter, and a tennis court. There are ample seating areas, and diverse well-kept plants everywhere. There is something here for everyone of all ages.
