Very nice hike. The main trail is easy to get close to the falls. I would rate the last 1/4 mile to the top of the falls as moderate. The trail to the bottom of the falls is marked as difficult. We did not try it. Falls are not much to look at when its been so dry. I was told after a good rain or in the spring it better view. Side trails do not seem to be maintained very well. Trails are not marked very well either. I used Back Country Navigatior XE with US Topographical Maps loaded so I knew where we were.
Great hike, beautiful river. Make sure to go a couple days after rainfall. Or the falls are a trickle.
Lots of hiking on trails. It's very physical so be prepared. It is beautiful though and totally worth all the sweat.
Beautiful, secluded area. We hiked around the falls and the adjacent Kikowanee Trust trails and loved it! Will definitely be back.
