I like the way I'm treated at Dan Young ! Their staff is outstanding and ready with answers to all my questions. I've been doing business with Dan Young's since 2003, and that is not going to change .

I am rating at a 2 star because I have not dealt with the sales side and I do not want to leave an inaccurate review. If I were rating the service depth only by itself I would give it a half star and that is only because of the friendliness.nnMy only experience is with Darrin in service, and it was extremely disappointing at that.nnAs a side note I prefer the little guy, smaller, family owned small town businesses. I do what I can to support them because we need more of them, without them it would all be corporate America.nnI decided to give D.Y. a chance as we live just south of tipton. We were cosidering buying a new suburban in the next few years and we wanted to give them a try. I took my 09 Escalade in for an extended warranty repair for my ac condenser and my dvd player.nnIn September I gave d.y. a call when I was inquiring about my repair. Darrin gave me a call back the next day and was up front with how their policy goes for extended warranties from the start and so I do give them credit for that as it is appreciated.nnOnce the vehicle was there however I did not get one update nor did I ever receive a call regarding the vehicle. I called multiple times and was transfered to service only to go straight to darrins voicemail. I left multiple voicemails and never received a call back. The vehicle was dropped off 10/1. I am very patient, infact overly patient at that. My wife luckily had a spare vehicle to drive while the escalade was at dan young waiting for the repair. After waiting nearly 2 weeks with zero communication my frustration got the best of me. Today 10/13 I arrived to see the status of the vehicle. I drove to the back gate to see my Escalade had not moved. It was just before closing time and so we hurried to service. We were greated nicely by a gentleman at darrins desk and asked how he could help (I can only assume it was darrin). I told them who I was and the vehicle I was inquiring about. He lied and said he was waiting for his tech to let him know what was going on with the escalade and he had to go get it off the rack. Mind you it is still sitting in the open parking lot behind the dealership in plain sight. At that point I knew he was lying and said we are just going to take the vehicle, but before I could tell him this it was actually in the parking lot behind the building and not on the rack he came around the counter squeezed between my wife and I and went to grab the keys and bring it up front.nnAll the techs were clearly gone for the day and the service dept was quitter than a library on sunday. Whats funny is that it one service guys was reading a book waiting for the last minutes of the day to pass (it doesnt bother me but it just reinforces that nothing was going on) We waited a few moments and another gentleman asked if we needed help (I can only assume the gentleman reading his book went and got him when he realized I was picking my vehilce up without the repair being made and there was possibly for an altercation) we explained the situation to the other gentleman and he said well I hope its not the one we couldnt get started. My wife and I were very calm however that comment nearly set us over the top as I recently put a new battery in the vehicle and it was perfectly fine when we dropped it off. Luckily it wasnt our vehicle so we laughed and left.nnWhere my frustration stems from is the blatant lies, the fact that at no point was there any attempt to explain what took so long, no apology for not returning my phone calls, and no effort to try and retain my business. Its been nearly 2 wks and my vehicle isnt fixed and now I have to take it elsewhere to take more time to get repaired and I need it by friday which I explained when I called over the phone. I will not be back for service at any point at Dan Young which is unfortunate because it was the actions (or lack there of) of 1 or maybe 2 individuals.nnPlease make your own judgement as everyone has different experiences. I hope this unfortunate interaction can be used for training and the mistakes made will be learned from. T.Y.

A few weeks ago, I had a large repair on my existing vehicle. I decided to visit Dan Young. I worked with Drew. It was a very pleasant experience. They found the car I wanted and had it ready for me a few days later. Really impressive dealership!
