Very very busy. Beautiful, expensive fruit and veggies. Beautiful, expensive everything.
Loving this place. We stayed in PDX for a year and this was one of our favorite grocery stores. High quality food + very friendly and helpful staff.nnSometimes during our stay there were winemakers who exhibit their wines. We tried/bought some and had very nice conversations.nnAll in all a very good choice for groceries.
If you also low-income and happen to want good, healthy food that doesn't make your guts hurt, you may also enter New Seasons and leave empty-handed, feeling disparaged.nI see a lot of effort by companies like this to bring good food to people and I appreciate it. But it can be hard to justify buying anything at these prices...how long will it take for healthy food to be affordable?
I used to really love their deli. But i went in the other day and wasn't very impressed with freshness i encountered. The veggie lasagna was dry and not too flavorful. and my most favorite item thèy carry is the kale salad...it was very dried out with no oil or vinegar on it or for it. maybe a new deli person. instead of a cook.
