The Homestead - West Lafayette

When I travel, I like to research and visit independently owned, local restaurants along my route. I found this gem of a place between Dayton and Chicago (just north of Indianapolis) in early July 2020. I rarely find a place good enough to revisit. But I was thrilled to return when I had to make the same trip late August 2020. I knew I wouldn't make it before closing time, but with a simple phone call, Michelle graciously volunteered to wait for me for a carry out order. When I arrived at what turned out to be their second location, Lisa generously worked with Michelle to make sure my order was fulfilled. I truly wish I lived nearby either of these special restaurants. I would support it at least weekly. Fresh, unique and delicious... I love everything about this place!

The staff here are absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere is so quaint and warm. I have never had a bad pastry here, the best place to have breakfast in the area!

Great place to grab a quick lunch. And you can even pick up some premade items to bring home for dinner as well. The food and service are always great.

Great breakfast pizza. Service is awesome. I recommend calling your order in.
