The Circuit Bouldering Gym NE

I really enjoyed my single session at this gym, had to pivot when WA shut down a day early so I stayed in Portland and hit this one. I'm an unashamed bouldering only climber and love that this gym is all bouldering. Plenty of fun routes, front desk was friendly, they were handing covid protocols with a minimum of fuss. I did feel like the grades were a bit soft but ultimately you climb at your level anyway so it doesn't REALLY matter. The gym area in the back is small but quality gear. There is also a nice loading dock to chill on when you're not climbing.

Responsible and friendly business. Reserve a spot online, have your temperature tested at the door, then follow social distancing areas while wearing a mask. There's a nice outdoor area to take breaks in and drink your water. Their space is large and open with two garage door sized windows. I felt very safe working out here. I really appreciate all the work they have done to make it safe to climb here. I'm so glad to be able to climb again and I am more than happy to follow all of the protocols to do so. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. The circuit always has a chill and respectful vibe. That plus the climbing always leaves me with a big smile on my face.

The circuit is one of the best places in Portland. All the locations have great route setting and friendly staff but this location in particular is dripping with grimy old dirt bag smell and full of retired punks and cute queers. I wouldn't trade my membership for a Tesla truck.

The circuit has some great covid procedures in place, I'm so glad to be climbing again. Just be sure to make an appointment!

Favorite gym in town, love the staff, and the environment is amazing. Always has great music as well ud83eudd18
