I came to Elizabeth a complete novice with virtually no training. In no time at all, however, Elizabeth Lavenue became the voice coach and a support system I didn’t know I needed. Her unwavering kindness and support not only heightened my confidence in my voice, it elevated my confidence in myself. My journey with Elizabeth was both physical and deeply, deeply spiritual. Through repetitive vocal exercises I simultaneously built-up my range and broke down the barricades of self-doubt and hesitancy I didn’t even know had been holding me back. I sing a lot now. I sing in my shower, I sing feeding my cat, I sing at work, I belt in my car, and, most importantly, I sing in front of others and don’t give a darn what they think. Elizabeth will always be one of those special mentors. I’ll never stop feeling thankful towards her and the gift that she gave me.

I feel so lucky to have found Elizabeth, and I'm so glad I reached out to start voice lessons with her. Working with her using the Blaylock method has increased the freedom, ease and power with which I sing. And the bonus has been that -- on those days when I've brought my life's concerns to my voice lesson -- she has been spiritually attuned. Elizabeth is a delightful person and a great teacher. She is positive, enthusiastic and incredibly knowledgeable about the physical mechanics of singing. That means she can hear what is right and wrong with your vocal technique and give you the tools to fix and make better your singing. In addition, you will be able to prevent injury to your voice. I think she is fantastic and would be a wonderful teacher for any singer, whether beginner or more advanced.

I came to Elizabeth as a total beginner, never having sung for anyone, and she made me completely comfortable and excited to learn. The method she teaches is extremely efficient as it is based around our vocal anatomy, and because of this I have seen great results! She coaches me not only on how to sing properly, but on how to loosen up on stage and perform. I feel very lucky to have her as a teacher!
