Hancock Street Preschool

After an exhaustive search among Portland's co-op preschools, we landed on Hancock Street Preschool. 3 years and 2 kids later, we are extremely happy with our choice. Teachers Sandy and Becky are universally loved and the play-based curriculum has been a perfect way to ease our children into school.

LOVE. The sense of community at this preschool is phenomenal. It's made me feel right at home, not only at the school but in my neighborhood and Portland as a whole. My daughter skips to school every time and loves her teacher, her classmates and the other parents. The eye for detail here is awesome and there's season-led themes and creative projects galore.

We LOVE HSP - the teachers and the community! It's truly a loving environment where the kids are encouraged to play, imagine and problem solve. The artwork that comes home just shows the creativity and fun they're having every day! My son looks forward to school! What more can you ask for?

Gentle and skilled teachers, beautifully well-maintained indoor and outdoor space, thoughtful learning through play themes, wonderful parent community. I'm so glad we were introduced to this preschool for our kids to start their school experience.

Our family has had the best experience at HSP for the past two years. We've seen our son grow socially and intellectually at an incredible rate. We will definitely send our younger child there when he is old enough. Can't say enough good things about HSP!
