A Beautiful building with amazing architecture
I had to cancel out Timothy’s bad review. This is a memorial to a football legend, Knute Rockne, after he tragically died in a plane crash in 1930. The Rock forms the western anchor to south quad and is an awesome example of neo-gothic architecture. You can also see the emblem of the United States Naval Academy and Westport on the outer walls of the front porch, in tribute to Notre Dame’s strong historic connection to the military.
Definitely not a rock.
