HOTLIPS Pizza - Hawthorne

As a visitor to Portland, I was advised to try this local favorite. Tried a few slices and the bread stick. The vegan slice ($3.75) was my favorite! The vegetables were not soggy at all, it was full of flavour and definitely the most colorful pizza I've seen. The place also has many arcade games and book shelf. I read that they also do writing workshops. It's just a casual yet one of a kind place.

Drove all the way to Hawthorne to get pizza. They only are taking credit cards right now no cash. That's all I had due to someone hacking my card and having to wait till my card comes in the mail. I'm so sick of Political post right now. You can't go anywhere without people pushing their political views on you. I will never eat at Hot Lips Pizza.

Today was my birthday, and after having a pretty awful day for unrelated reasons, I decided to order pizza from the Hollywood location. Some sort of mishap occurred, and they ended up being closed (no fault to them- I understand with the virus and last minute changes things are bound to go wrong). I called the Hawthorne location to see what could be done, and the manager on duty (a woman, but I can't remember her name, sorry) was absolutely wonderful. She offered to email people who could issue me a refund, gave me a generous discount on a new order, and on top of that threw in a cookie and six sodas for free. The kindness from the staff here is unmatched, and the pizza is just great in general. Thank you guys for saving my birthday!

Hotlips is a comfort favorite. Their pesto is the best I've ever had. Their ingredients are fresh, the dough is just perfect. It's the kind of pizza you will devour the crust. Oh and they have great bread sticks, dipping sauces and hot sauce (kick that pizza up a notch), and their fruit soda is legendary. Marionberry soda is my personal fave.
