I made an appointment for my son to get his haircut at 5:15 PM. We arrived at 5 PM. There were 3 stylists there, 2 were actively cutting hair. There were 2 stylists that checked us in, one appeared to be new, so she needed assistance. The seasoned employee that was helping ( purple and blue hair) was not currently cutting hair but sitting in the back. No worries, I get it. They told us as soon as they were done cutting hair they would get to us. We sat down and waited. 5:15 came, nothing. 5:30 came, still nothing. Nobody came to update us, the blue and purple hair girl was still in the back. There was an appointment that came in at 5:30 , the blue and purple hair girl assisted him promptly. We still sat there. I sat there until 5:45 PM, still nobody assisted us with an update or service. I walked out. My son never receive his haircut. I will never return to the Hair Cuttery. Why did I make an appointment time if you will not honor my time? Also, even just an update would have been helpful. I even made the appointment the night before, so it was not a last minute.
I was disappointed with my visit, as I walked out of the salon not looking much different. I had requested a certain cut and I believe my stylist was not familiar with. The stylist said that she would not cut may hair in the style I requested because she didn't think it would look right on me. The stylist was very young, I am a 43 year old mother of 5 that has had various colors and styles over the years and I believe that I am capable of making the decision of what looks good on me and what does not. I was very disappointed.
I asked for bangs and the staff cut off too much hair. She also cut off random pieces around the side of my head which did not make sense. She was very nice but she did not know what she was doing. Also I have curly hair and she was really rough with my hair. I would not recommend this place to anyone with curly hair.
My kids love going there.. The girls are sweet that work there.
Girl who did my hair had blue hair. She was the nicest person. Wasn't completely sure what I wanted and she managed to give me the cut I wanted with me coming in clueless.
