Lakeshore Camp Resort

Spent the weekend in the deluxe cabin with my daughter & 3 small children (8,7,6). For it being off season we had a ball! The cabin was great, there were plenty of activities to keep them busy, they participated in the golf cart wiggle around the resort, & Everyone was very nice & friendly (especially the gentleman I flagged down to help with our pit fire). We will be making plans to return in the summer. The only grief we had was when the temp dropped into the 30's early morning. All though we had a good space heater, it didn't help much. But with sunrise it warmed up quickly so that became a distant memory. Can't wait to see the new cabin that sleeps 12 in the summer!

Super customer service. Not great for tent camping.

Their website said everything but the beach would be open. We get there there is a sign that says the beach is open but then they verbally tell us that it's not open. We call the first day we check in and they said the pool and arcade is closed because of short staff . We came with a whole group of kids thinking that they would be able to do something. There was nothing for kids to do besides play at the park. They should have updated that on their website that there was nothing open . The whole time we got harassed by the gate people who had a horrible attitude to every person in our party. They gave us wrong vehicle stickers that the gate lady said was not even for their Park which means we had to go back and get new ones. When my sister who was staying with us tried to come back into the park the front gate lady told her that it was the wrong campsite under someone else's name. Ranger Mike said that it's because it is a lot people basically already own but they're renting out to people wanting to camp. The staff should be informed that the site can have a different name under it instead of calling customers a liar . This is not a campground this is a trailer park we were surrounded by mobile homes and loud train track. One of our two sites was complete mud before we even got there and the other site had sharp cut metal poles sticking out of the ground and was dirty when we got there. They just assumed the ages of the kids and over charged our card. Their bathrooms are also closed which is not listed before getting there. So we had to walk way across camp to the only one open with children because the one closest to us was shut down. then when I bring up this plus many other issues the owner or the head guy in charge just kept saying well you should have just called you should have just called you should have just called. I'm sorry I don't think that I should be spending my whole time camping calling on issues that his staff is doing wrong. We will never be going back and will not ever recommend this place.
