If you go to the location where Google maps tells you, you will go to the building with a little pavilion and map. The building was not open when we went there on a Saturday afternoon, but that may be covid related? I would recommend heading north and following the signs for bison viewing area. At that area, they have some trails with larger overlooks. It was a really unique place to go and really nice that they have it! The roads are a bit narrow and mostly gravel.
Had a great time viewing and photographing the bison in the north pasture. Best part was that we didn't have to travel to South Dakota to see these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
If you've never seen a Buffalo, it's worth the stop. Just a FYI, it's a gravel road getting to the viewing areas. Also, the trails to each viewing areas are gravel. I mentioning this. Because when we stopped. There was a young girl in a wheelchair. And the gravel is packed enough, it allowed her to take the trails and view the buffalo.nWhomever is the keeper of this amazing animals. Is doing an amazing job. They are very healthy and happy..
Standing in the natural habitat for the bison was an awesome feeling, and watching those magnificent animals grazing and knowing nobody will harm them made me smile! What a great experience!
I love this place and its only 35 minutes away.. so I go as many times as I can. Show out of town people
