Advantage Electric

I would give Advantage Electric and Brian in particular 10 stars if I could. Highly skilled, extremely thorough, and probably one of the most technically knowledgeable people I have met from any trade over the course of remodeling. You will not regret hiring Advantage Electric.

We've used advantage electric for years now, and we always ask to schedule with Brian. He's the best, not only does he know hot stuff you get to listen to his sense is humor while he works. His jokes are so bad it's impossible not to laugh. We really trust Brian and this company. Will be sad to leave this state and not have him work for us anymore.

Finding a good, honest electrician in Portland can be as hard as finding a good dentist (Healthy Smiles) or a good mechanic (Hawthorne Auto) - too few and too far between.nnWe recently moved back to Portland and into an older South Tabor bungalow. As you can imagine, there were some electrical needs. I found Advantage the first time when I desperately needed to have my gas range outlet downgraded from a 220 to a 110. It was a small job, but I called 6 other outfits before Advantage said they could do it the same week - obviously wasn't a huge project or revenue point. Worked with Brian and mentioned that I had a few other things that I needed done around the house, but they weren't critical.nnAbout a month later I called for a larger ($1000-$2000) residential bid and Brian came and gave an estimate. They completed the work today and I am totally satisfied with the work.nnI was pleased to see that he had a couple of apprentices in along who were learning the trade. Sure, any electrician could probably have done this job, but it was the dedication to high-touch customer service, attention to detail, and the dedication of teaching a new generation of tradesmen these same skills will keep me coming back. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

We needed some outlets fixed and a broken ceiling light replaced. The new one (pictured) turned out way better than I imagined -- guests have gasped when they notice it. We need another outlet fixed (old house...) and we're definitely hoping Advantage has some time available again!

We are in the middle of a major remodel and our electrical work is extensive, both in replacing old wiring and redesigning lighting to fit the new house design. Our contractor introduced us to Advantage Electric. After meeting Brian, their senior electrician, and receiving his comprehensive bid, we hired Advantage and so happy we did.nnBrian has been excellent communicator, keeping us posted of his schedule and work progress. He takes the time to explain what he intends to do and the reasons why. He also offers alternative options we had not thought of, making our decision more effective and cost efficient. We have also had good communications with Judy, Advantage scheduler and bookkeeper. She is quick to respond to our emails and has spread our contract payment over the length of the work, helping to manage our cash flow.nnWe highly recommend Advantage Electric if you have a large construction project. Obviously, your electrical contractor has to be someone you trust, have the expertise and experience to perform quality work, but most importantly this important subcontractor must have the professional integrity and follow through. We have this in Brian with the added benefit of a great sense of humor. As icing on the cake, we have appreciated the administrative support provided by Judy.
