H&R Block

Lets just say i filed in January and it is now mid September and i still havent gotten my taxes.

Well over 200 dollars to do mine and my wife's taxes and our son's just over 100. It took just as long to type his information in as it did to type our information in. By the way things are going eventually we will ne in the hole by using your services. I see no reason to charge as much as you do for the volume of people your company prepares taxes for. People that really can use as much of their refund as they can get and our fee ended up taking almost half of ours. I was involved in a hit and run accident on Jan 29 while trying to be a good Samaritan and I am in able to work. We got a lot less on our refund than we expected and then when we found put how much we we charged afterward. There was a sign in the window that stated we were supposed to be told how much our fees would be before starting and we weren't told.

I have been doing my taxes all my life – 58 years old. This review pertains to an issue using the HR Block software and then also attempting to get assistance from your HR Block local office. Bottom line is do not waste your time. The accounting personnel at the local office is fine, nothing wrong with the job they do. BUT if you are using the HR Block software and think you can go into the local office and easily get help then beware.nnWe have a mildly complex return. When I went into the office to verify what I was seeing and get advice I was told they could not import any data I have already entered into the program or use the preliminary tax return I had already printed out. They spent over an hour re-entering the data from the HR/W2/Misc paperwork. More importantly they CANNOT enter into the program calculations that you have already figured - they HAVE to use paperwork to enter everything. It was a waste of time as it took me sporadically weeks to get the figures into all the right places correctly. They never did get it right so I finally said enough – can’t do this anymore. I can’t believe the software tells you to get local help but they have to reenter EVERYTHING. How can the software tell you they will back you up on an audit if they cannot interface with their own software to get the figures? Makes no sense. I am sure these guys are good but sure was a waste of time for me.
