I never hesitate to make the trip down to Portland from Seattle to have El be the one wrenching on my van. I bought my first (& current) Vanagon from them almost two years ago and I cannot tell you how insanely lucky I am to have scored a van that El built. They are insanely talented, trustworthy, budget conscious and creative. They've always been honest and impressed me with their professionalism and commitment to their trade. Take your wheels here.
I’m SO glad I found El. Every other mechanic I’ve taken my 87’ 4x4 Toyota van to has dreaded working on it because it’s weird, or told me they wouldn’t because parts are too hard to find, etc. But El gets it, and sees potential over problems. They take the time to walk me through everything, give me lots of options and fair prices, they’re honest and quick about getting it done, and warn me about what’s coming. Also, I can ask any question without being treated as if I don’t want to actually understand the answer, me being a lady and all...nI’ve recommended Stargazer Garage to many friends with all types of cars trucks etc, they’re all glad I did as well.
Stargazer Garage is awesome! El worked magic on my vehicle and was very patient with all my questions. I would trust them with any of my vehicles. I will absolutely be back and I would encourage anyone support them as well!
I worked with El on a community project. They were extremely professional and helpful. They were knowledgeable and patient, and I can’t recommend this shop or El highly enough. Very engaged in the community, and does fantastic work.
I worked with El for several years at another shop. They are by far one of the most knowledgeable, thorough, and professional co-workers/fellow wrench turners I’ve ever met. I highly recommend taking your car or van to their shop!
