My favorite tea place. My first time coming to this location in Portland as I usually go to the location in sellwood. My first time at this location was really great. The layout of the place is very open and bright with lots of windows and natural lighting. They had tables socially distanced apart so you could still enjoying a cup inside, however they do NOT do the tea pot style anymore at your table, with your cup to refill yourself. If you decide you want to sit inside and drink it they only do to-go orders in disposable cups. The tea was delicious as always. I ordered my favorite- vanilla rose chai with hemp milk substitute. I've tried a lot of the teas at the other locations; chai teas, green teas, some of the oolong teas and the vanilla rose chai is definitely a favorite!

The atmosphere is wonderful, it's very calm and minimalistic. The selection of tea is plentiful, the quality of tea is outstanding, and the service is great. Due to the fact there's usually only one person behind the counter, however, it can take a little bit to get your tea. Although it is nice to have a break from the instant gratification type of routine our society is used to, and to spend sometime reading or talking with a friend while waiting for the tea to steep.

Officially can say with confidence that this is my favorite tea shop. The variety of tea is quite impressive and the staff there add even more value to the place. They are helpful and are willing to go above and beyond for you. Will be back with my friends soon. Highly recommend to try for yourself. You can also buy over 100 types of teas and smell each one.

Wonderful service, and tea.nI ordered the coconut chai with oat milk with only a little sweetener and it was perfect. The teapot was beautiful and kept it warm. The spices were perfect and the tea wasn't underwhelming or overpowering. Even the vibe has a perfect balance between cozy, perfect for late nights and dates, and a clean bright studying environment. I will definitely come back, and am even planning to buy their teas to make at home.nI used to go to Townsend on Alberta before the awful remodel, and Tea Chai Té isn't quite the same, but it's damn close, and has it's own unique positives.
