Such great food!!! Great food, prices and portions!!! Love, love, love this place!!!! Truly authentic Chinese food. It's been run by Peter(who is the nicest man on the planet and remembers everyone) and his family since opening over a century ago. I've been eating from this place for over 20 years now(I'm now 36) and I won't eat anywhere else. I have driven a half hour to pick some up(solely for myself too lol) They have dine in, carryout, and delivery and they deliver pretty far too! They will deliver pretty far into Portage which no other place in Hobart does, which makes me and my belly happy ud83dude0a I have never ever been disappointed in anything I've ever ordered. I can eat off the large fried rice probably 3 times because the box is so stuffed, not sure how they do it or get it closed for that matter. Food is always hot even when I had it delivered which from the time I ordered to it being dropped off was a little over an hour( I live at least 20 minutes from there depending on lights so it's not as bad as it sounds time wise lol) This last time it was 35 minutes from ordering to my doorstep!!!!
Have been going here for 20+ years. You won't find any better chinese food in the area, or a more friendly owner. Peter and his family have always been great, if you're a regular he'll always remember you and your name whenever you come in.
You'll always go hungry and leave happy [and with plenty of leftovers to boot!]. Great service from a wonderful staff, even greater food and the owner is seriously the nicest man you'll ever meet. My fiance and I absolutely love this place.
Very good food and I like the idea that they pretty much know my order and remember me whenever I call and place my order. That makes me feel so special. Check it out for yourself. You will find that food is excellent.
While the flavors were good, it’s false advertising and over pricing! Ordered the “Pearl of Sea” dish which advertises Shrimp, Scallop, and Lobster as the dish’s meats and is priced at $15.99! Well it is not at all lobster. It is imitation crab sticks instead along with THREE scallops and a decent amount of shrimp. The problem here is not the flavor or service or anything like that. The issue here is selling one thing while offering another. We all know times are tough and corners are sometimes cut in the food industry to accommodate financial hardships, but at your customers’ expense? That’s bad business no matter how you look at it. It was my first time ordering there and because of the flavors being on point I’ll give them another chance. I’ll just stay away from any plate that says it has lobster in it. BEWARE!!!! to them, LOBSTER = IMITATION CRAB STICKS BEWARE!!!!
