As of July 17th 2020 the chain link fence had been opened. You can now enter the church. Although it's still considered trespassing I'm sure. I still have hope that it will be transformed into a ruins garden like the ones I've seen Europe. The city of Gary needs to set up a donation site for a future garden.
Great place for the Urbex photographer. Still, don't go alone. It has many weaknesses that get worse each time I visit.
