Mid-sized towns use to be boring, bland and uncreative. It use to be that if you wanted high quality culture, food, music etc, then you had to live in a big city.nnFluid is screaming proof that those days are over. Fluid is an absolute gem that meets or exceeds every standard you would find at a big city coffee shop (Only with better prices.)nnThe atmosphere is warm and inviting, the artwork is tasteful, the menu is organized and well thought-out. The quality of the coffee and pastries is high. The music they play is good, the staff is friendly.nnAll of the parts fit together to create a fully formed concept.nnYes, I am a little surprised to find such a gem in Michigan City, but I'm happy to run with it.nnMichigan city has done a great job building an inviting downtown, Fluid is an integral piece of that effort.nnPeople who work hard and create nice things like Fluid deserve to be appreciated, so I highly recommend that you get down there and order some espresso.

If you haven’t had fluid coffee you are missing out! Get a fresh cup there and then snag some of their coffee for home. The Scates family are absolutely top notch. They are great people and know their stuff about coffee. All you have to do is let them know what you enjoy and they can point you in the right direction of what to get. If you’re in Michigan city, this is a must visit.

This place is our local gem. Great drinks and great employees. Chuck and Alison do a great job making everyone feel like family . A high recommendation if you're in the region. Get the Parma police sandwich and rocket fuel. You can thank me later;)

Beautiful staff! Very cool and trendy atmosphere, definitely belongs in the Arts District!!! And the coffee was terrific!! Will be going back from now on! Watch out Starbucks you finally have worthy competition!!
