Michigan City Campground

It is very close to Indiana dunes national park. Very well maintained park however the gate doesn’t work after hours. Make sure you call them if you’re arriving after hours.

Somewhat glamping style. Primarily RV camping with a small group tent area. A general store open till 10pm and connected to it is an outdoor pool, 24 hr bathroom/showers. You enter with a key card through the entrance gate. Id say about 10 min from downtown Michigan City and 20 min from the northern part of the national park.

Grounds are updated and clean. Playground and pool were awesome. Only complaint is the pull through sites (our trailer too big for back in) shared a patio facing another camper. Our doors faced each other. Other than that we had an awesome stay...even extended our stay because we were enjoying it so much. Will come back but try to get different site not facing another camper.

Friendly staff and nice sites. Campground is convenient to major interstates and easy to get to. Amenities are clean.

We stayed at Michigan City Campground and could not recommend this destination enough. We loved that it is a gated campground, and the person who greeted us as we entered was so kind. Check in was a breeze, and they had even called earlier in the evening to make sure we were still coming, as we were arriving late that night. This was our family’s first night staying in an RV, and unfortunately, the electric hook up wouldn’t work (due to issues with our RV not our reserved site). We were so discouraged, and my husband worked on the issue for a long time without success. The next morning, he went to the office and spoke to Cory, who gave him the number of a local technician. We were so worried that our family’s trip would be completely cancelled, and we prayed that God would being us a helper who could fix this issue. Cory came to the rescue and was a true blue hero! He was able to locate the issue and quickly fixed it (wiring had come loose inside the rental RV electrical plug). We cheered and thanked him, and he wouldn’t accept any gifts to express our gratitude. Cory say to my husband, “That’s how we take care of our guests here.” Thank you, Cory, for taking the time to help our family! Our family trip came true because of you! Every person we met was so kind and helpful. Made us wish we were staying longer, but we will be back! So grateful for Cory and the Michigan City Campground.
