This is the loveliest place you've never heard of. Most definitely worth the drive from Portland. This is the personal gardens and home of landscape architects Lord & Schryver. The gardens are slowly and carefully being curated and restored to their original glory. Although the garden is a work in progress, it's beautiful to see anytime. For a nominal fee you can see the ground floor of their lovely but modest home. There are framed garden plans drawn by the designers themselves. They are really works of art and very interesting to see. There is a short talk that was very informative and well done. You get a piece of Oregon history that many haven't heard! These two trailblazing and entrepreneurial woman started their firm in 1929 after the market crashed! Their story will make you want to find out more!

Attended a lovely Botanical Painting workshop with Jeanne Debon, here, during Spring 2019. Super lovely hosting of our group, beautiful spaces, and pleasant, happy times!! Thank you! Here is my Allium flower I was so proud to paint!!!

This is a display garden that was designed by Lord & Schryver. They were the first women-owned landscape design business in this area back in the 1930s. they designed the gardens around Deepwood, Bush Park, North Salem High School, and this home among many many others. Volunteers lovingly maintain this garden and it is worth that or if you are into gardens.

Loved learning about all the historic renovation going on, and move about the two amazing early landscape architects and the important role they played in the northwest! Can't wait to watch how this garden changes over time.
