Starts with Riley at the front desk. Awesome, kind and so sweet. She chose Julie for me and she chose perfect for me. I love this really really clean salon and Julie did the best color and style that I have EVER HAD!!! Love Julie and would never go anywhere else. My 1st visit and I would go there if you need a stylist and are scared. I had no fear in there. GO THERE FOR GREAT HAIR AND PEOPLE.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! It has went downhill!!nI used to go to a different girl a year ago but decided to go natural and hadn’t been back. I called to make an appointment with my previous stylist and they said she wasn’t there anymore. Not a problem, they put me with their stylist Lauren. When I walked it I was rudely greeted by the front desk woman and said I needed to call before entering. And said I HAD to wear my mask, even though I already had it on. The person at the front desk seemed very annoyed that I was asking about pricing and if Lauren was ready for me. (If she wasn’t I was going to walk nextdoor to the donut place and grab a bite to eat)nLauren started out very good and friendly. She stated she was a professional artist was some big brand (I forget which one) so that made me excited for what she would do. But I was very disappointed in what I received. She explained that if I wanted my grays covered and highlights that it would be $220!!! Way more than I paid last time. And their website stated balayage (what she chose to do to me) and root touch would be a minimum of $135, so where did the almost $100 more come from?!? I understand most salons charge for extra product but my hair was at shoulder length and it’s fine, but $100 more in product?!?! I opted for just my hair to be one color and a slight trim and still the front desk person told me my total was $140!!!! How when highlights and a root color on their website is $135?!?!nnNot to mention my hair felt good and look good until I washed it a couple of days later and now it’s green on the ends and red on the top!!!nnI WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THEM!! I called to try and get a refund for my appointment and the same front desk person was still rude to me and ended up hanging up on me!! Lauren ruined my hair and now I have to go somewhere else to get it cut off and redone.nnDO NOT GO HERE!!!

Abigail and the entire team at the Alternative are incredible! Not only do I have the best hair of my life thanks to this team of women, but I also have the best time every time I’m in there. They are clean, respectful, and always make sure I’m thrilled with my hair. The value you will get from your hair services here cannot be beat.

I called for an appointment, and they booked me for the next day! I was so happy with the service and the friendly atmosphere, that I now work there as the front desk coordinater! Stop in and see us for your next hair cut, color, or treatment!

I’ve been going to The Alternative Hair Studio for over two years. The staff and owners, Amy & Ted, are the kindest, genuine people! There prices are typical and fair compared to other salons, but I very much appreciate their transparency about costs.nToday I had my first visit with Lauren and she was incredibly knowledgeable about color specifically balayage. She did a wonderful job with my cut and color.
