The covid spoiled the reenactment for us this fall. It was nice just to go and sit along the river and enjoy the outdoors though.
Just for the history of it. Always a good place to go and visit in October. Plus off season its still a great hiking and fishing place.
Best, most authentic festival you can go to! Try some hot apple cider, pork steaks, and more! Awesome battle re-enactments. I love this place, we try to go every year! It would really be cool to participate one day in the future! See ya next year!
I've been going for over 20 yrs and it seems as though it only gets bigger and better every year. There were many more tables this year to sit, rest, and eat. Very nice! Huge variety of food vendors. The battle reenactment was extremely good this year. I highly recommend this venue to anyone Interested in 1812 history or simply a fun family day!
I loved it, don't forget money there are very cool things to buy nearly everything is hand crafted. Great homemade foods and new things to try. The battle is narrated. It is an experience that all people should come out and enjoy. Very family friendly. Don't bring pet though.
