I had a great experience at CarMax. I knew exactly what car I wanted and no one tried to make me get a more expensive car. I was able to get financing with no hassle. Also, my sales person was awesome. Very personable and able to make the experience less boring.

Today, I purchased a 2016 Tahoe from the Salem store. I had it shipped from WA to OR for free, and the vehicle arrived in about a week. Several different CarMax employees were in touch with me via phone after I reserved the vehicle, and kept me updated until it arrived. From beginning to end, it was a seamless customer experience with no surprises.nnCarMax delivered everything their advertising promised, no surprise there. Elijah at the Salem store was an absolute pleasure to do business with. He had me in and out with financing and all in about 90 minutes. On top of all that, I didn't get there until 6:30 pm, and asked beforehand if we had enough time to complete the purchase before closing time at 8 pm. He was more than willing to give it a shot and did so with no problem. I had all my ducks in a row, knew what I wanted, and didn't make his job harder than it needed to be.nnElijah greeted me as soon as I walked through the door, before I even had a chance to look around and see where his desk was. He was very personable and efficient. I didn't ask how long he had worked there for, but I'm shocked nobody mentioned him in a 5 star review yet.nnElijah, if you ever need a recommendation from whatever 1 level up from a complete stranger is, I got you.nnThe vehicle itself was in as good of condition a used 4 year old Tahoe could be, and made it home 2 hours away with no issues whatsoever.

The entire process from the beginning stages of searching online, to final pick-up was simple and easy. The entire CarMax team, both Local, and Nationwide worked seamlessly together to insure every step of the process was hassle free. Our car was shipped and exceeded our expectations, we are very happy with this type of car purchase experience and highly recommend this no haggle up-front transparent approach to buying a used car.

This is an excellent way to buy a used car. I found a car I was interested in on the CarMax website, but is was in a city too far away for me to go see. BUT, for a reasonable fee, CarMax shipped it to my closest CarMax location. When it arrived they let me know it was in and I had 7 days to go see it. We went the next day. The car ended up being better than I initially thought it would be. AND, the CarMax crew noticed a small ding in the rear bumper, so they replaced it. I was impressed. Overall, it was a very good experience and I will most likely do it again. (Yes, we bought the car).
