Elk City County Park

This is a nice park for day use, but $25 a night for camping is a bit too much. The only amenities are the boat launch and toilets. No hook- up's, so noisy generators are being run all day. And no showers.

Great place to fish

Wow what a splendid day of true peace and serenity. Gorgeous sorroundings, highlighted by the beginning of the leaves turning color, only accentuates the inherent beauty of the gentle river stocked full of fish. Which I was privelaged enough to witness several fisherman, beeming with pride, eager to share the stories of the one that got away. And show off the days bounty. To cap it off, I had the pleasure to meet the camp hosts, very nice couple, with much wisdom...
