Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area

This is one of my favorite beaches here in oregon. If this was closer to where I live, I would definitely be here every morning or pretty much just every day in general. Nice view. I would recommend going here when its around 75 degrees more or less. I personally do not like strong winds at the beach or being in there for too long when its freezing cold with no sun. But still, its a nice place to be to relax.

The south entrance is closed but the main North entrance is currently open (restrooms as well). Grassy with trees, a nice large day use area. There is a large covered gazebo shelter. There is no view of the beach from the picnic area but a short asphalt path leads to a beautiful small beach with rocks at both ends.

We love this place. It is one of the less busy beaches in the area yet has easy access, good parking, convenient and clean bathrooms, plenty of picnic benches, hiking trails, meadows, wildlife, surf fishing, day use, wheelchair friendly, covered gazebo area, places to run your dog on grass and sand, nearby good restaurants for dine in or take out for picnic at the beach. Also there is good beach combing and calm creek water for young kids to play in ... Supervised of course.

A home away from home for avid treasure hunters. Agates, chalcedony, quartz, petrified wood, fossils and more. Schedule a visit during a low tide and this beach will treat you right. During a hightide hit the river in some tall boots. Treasure beach.

Very active waves and rock to climb, but small.
