Tide was up, and some trails are down right now, but what a beautiful, soft sanded beach. Will definitely be back...

We saw all the great reviews and thought we could explore the punchbowl. We were camping at Beverly Beach Campground which is literally 5 minutes from here.nFirst, parking is terrible. We came middle of October and had to park blocks away. I cannot imagine trying to find parking in the summer months.nSecond, you cannot technically explore the punchbowl. The entire area is gated off. Sure some people may have went around the gates and gone down but I was not going to have myself and kids break the law to get a better view.nI do not think I have ever seen any place with such high reviews that was so disappointing. Sure you can take pictures from the top but we left after being there for 5 minutes.nThere are so many better places to explore on the Oregon coast.nWe checked it off the list but I would never come again.
