But this is Cascade Head not Devils Lake.nThis walk is not easy. A walking stick is good to have. People with breathing problems should walk slower. Not many obese people do this hike. There were 35 -40 elk on top a week ago. This is a great place.

Important: Some confuse this as being a hiking trail...it is not. It's part of Devils Lake State Park campground and is a boardwalk trail that takes you from the campground through some wetland and to 1st St. Very short walk and it's kinda pretty, but not a hiking trail. Also, despite what you read and what's advertised there IS NOT a trail that goes around the lake.

1400 steps from parking spot to the end of the dock at the campground. A lovely little walk!
