Ervin Brothers Painting

After reading my review and others that follow, you will likely see a pattern. I obtained a quote from the company for interior painting. I accepted the proposal and they went silent on me. Weeks passed without them answering my emails or returning my voice mails. When I finally got a hold of them I was given a date they would start my paint work, but they never showed up. I did not receive a call before or after explaining why they were a no show. After more emails and voice message left with them went unanswered I finally reached a breaking point and found another painter. This company has zero customer service and is completely unresponsive. Save yourself the aggravation and find another painter.

A woman came out to give a quote but I never received an email with it. I called the office after a week and never heard from them. I chose someone who was prompt and timely to do the work.

I received an estimate from Ervin Bros. Painting LLC and at that time I mentioned to Shane Ervin that we would be replacing the flooring. On the first day they arrived, they were putting canvases on the floor and he told his workers that we were replacing the flooring so they didn’t have to be that careful. I reminded them, I would not be replacing the flooring right away so please be careful.nErvin Bros. painted our family room and loft area walls and removed our popcorn ceilings and replaced it with Spanish lace. They started March 18th and finished on March 20th. I paid them in full on that date. (March 20, 2020)nAfter they finished the painting, they removed the scaffolding and canvases from the floor. I noticed several drips all over the floors and one area where they spilt a can of paint on the carpet. They tried to clean it up by removing the excess paint and left the rest on the carpet. (I have not complained about the sloppiness and damage to the flooring.)nAfter they left on that Friday, I called Shane the following Tuesday and mentioned three small areas that needed touched up. He said he would be here that Wednesday or Thursday. Since then I have left several phones messages and an email on April 10, 2020. I was only able to reach him April 16th when I used someone else’s phone. (He is apparently ignoring my phone calls.) He said he was staying home because of the state shut down for the pandemic. He said when he could go back to work again “I would be first on his list” to do the touch ups.nMy final phone message was on July 20th. By that time, Indiana was in stage 4.5 which should allow him to complete the job. This is August 3rd and I have yet to hear from him. I had a friend call him today about a painting job and Shawn said he is booked four to six weeks out. He is doing business and he has NOT contacted me to finish this job.nI noticed on Ervin’s web page it states a “30-day touch-up warranty” and a “2-year paint failure warranty”. It also states an “Award winning company dedicated to customer satisfaction”. I think he has failed to live up to reasonable expectations let alone winning any awards.nI would NOT RECOMMEND Ervin Bros. for any work you need done.

I can't speak for the job's performance whatsoever. However, I contacted the company's advertised phone number to get a quote for an interior paint job and I was promised a call back the same day which was on 07/12 upon arrival back to the office. Unfortunately, as to this day it has been 2 wks since my call and nobody has attempted to contact me. A friendly, 'we are currently overly busy and can't take on any new jobs' would have sufficed.

Contracted in Feb. In May they put me off twice and were a no show.
