I studied at ISU from fall 1983 till summer 1985 and often performed prayers at this Islamic Center. Not many local muslim during that time except students from arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Libya and from Malaysia.nnLocal muslims who often performed their prayers ( I still remembered their faces) are bro Omar Faruq and bro Shariff. The caretaker of this center was a Combodian family, Karim Asmath, wife Rokiah and his brother Osman Asmath. Every week brother Karim drove to Chicago to stock up halal chicken and once a month would slaughter cattle for the muslim in Terre Haute . TQ brother Karim for providing us with halal meat. Very friendly people. They are welcoming and they meet you with a BIG smile.nJummah starts at 2:15 and ends before 3 pm.nEnough parking space and place to pray.nBeautiful, ma’shaa Allah.
