Tumble Time

My daughter started at Tumble Time under the old ownership and we were pleased. As the ownership changed so did the staff. Class sizes have dropped as the instructors are no longer of the quality that they were before the ownership changed. And my daughter stopped learning tumbling moves, and was instead put through a series of workout drills that included running laps, doing army crawls, and more. This would be fine if it accompanied tumbling work as well. My daughter’s instructor was late arriving to class for the last three weeks, being as late as 15 minutes to a one hour class. When we complained about her being late the way the instructor treated my daughter changed. When my daughter completed her flips and told the instructor she had completed her five flips the instructor called her a liar, told her she wasn’t trying and that she did not deserve to be in gymnastics. When we questioned the instructor in front of the owner about this she said that she did say it, that it was their job to talk to the students mean, and to train them harshly. She said that my daughter was 13 and that she could talk to her as she wished. When we said that if she had an issue with our daughter she needed to discuss it with us she said that she did not have to discuss anything with us. She was also quick to point out that she did not get paid for training our child and stated that she did it as a favor. She said that we pay the gymnastics studio the fees but she is not paid as an instructor. Whether she is paid as an instructor or not is not my concern, as I am paying for my daughter to be trained and expect for that to be fulfilled. When I called to discuss the situation with the owner she literally laughed at me, and I had to tell her that it was not funny. The owner kept telling me that she had another job and couldn’t be there to oversee the studio all the time. She also stated that she was tired of parents who thought that they could complain all the time and expecting that they just buckle to them. The gymnastics studio itself is small, outdated, and dirty. This could be overlooked when there was good staff but when the ownership and staff changed it was no longer the issue. The owners and staff did not act in a professional manner in this situation. Do not go here!!
