I review most every campground I stay at across the country. I always try to stay at family owned places to patronize the locals instead of the corporate owned as I find them more personable and friendly. Campshore Campground is no exception to that. Its a great place along the Ohio River in Aurora, Indiana. Close shopping in Aurora and Lawrenceburg. Close to the casinos of Rising Sun and Lawrenceburg. This campground offers so much for campers with or without kids. They have a large swimming pool, volleyball court, playground, horseshoe pit, live music on various weekends and boat docks on the river. The owners are super nice people and take pride in the place. It has become my favorite of all the campgrounds I stay at and if you follow my reviews, you will see I have a lot of favorites. As I have said on previous reviews, every campground is a work in progress. There are always things that can be better and always things being upgraded. Independently owned campgrounds can't just dump a ton of money at once like the big corporate owned places, but this one is doing a great job making it the kind of place you would enjoy visiting

We were thankful we were able to get a place to pull into at the last minute, but the party people up past midnight wasn’t what we ever did as camping.

Met my brother there had a grillout, seems nice & quiet, pool is very nice, I didn't go in has a slide fountain sprayer, I talked with the owner seemed nice man, he doesn't allow rowdies in, it's family oriented, next time I'm in the pool , has snack shop, horseshoe pits, dock, fishing, I didn't see anything wrong with it, not really for tenter, everyone in metal rvs,$40 a night..all sites electric & water hookups.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED in this place. We went here as a family and loved everything about it-the atmosphere, the events, the owners. My kids love camping and we were bummed when camp sites were closed down to COVID, so of course as soon as they opened up we were so excited to go there. My husband called to book the night before we were going. A man, I'm assuming the owner, answered and said it was $25 if you paid with cash and to call him the next day we were on our way. We told the kids, we packed the car, we found a babysitter for our youngest child, and DROVE AN HOUR TO DROP HIM OFF, then we were on our way, called the site and the man answered and said he was at capacity- even though we were promised a spot. All campsites were booked and we then had to turn around and go home. My kids were devastated. We spent our whole night and morning preparing for this camping trip.nnWe were buying a camper next year and were interested in making this place a second home. I'm glad we learned early on how they do their business.

Friendly owners, well kept kid friendly pool, and fair prices (cash discounts as well as discounts for longer stays). Super close to the creation museum and not too far from the Ark Encounter. Bathrooms are kept very clean!
