Congregation Beth Shalom is more than just a house of worship. It is the home to the most supportive and loving community that I have ever know. Our members worship in the way that they find most comfortable be it the liberal Friday evening services, the conservative Shabbat morning minyan, or the monthly renewal service. While we may choose to observe in varying ways - we stand together as one community - one family.nnWhen my husband and I moved to Bloomington, we were drawn to the warmth of this synagogue and impressed by Beth Shalom's commitment to it's members, the greater Bloomington community and the world community. We joined the synagogue, and for the first time ever, we felt that we were members of a truly caring community.nnI have dealt with some extraordinary challenges in the past year, and were it not for our wonderful Rabbi and this incredibly loving and caring community, I don't know how I would have gotten through. Beth Shalom is an amazing congregation. You may find some people or practices that you don't care for, but turn around and you will find so many more that you love.nnPlease join us.
