Fun atmosphere with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Appointment only, but they're very easy to schedule. I've always left very happy with my hair!
When I arrived on the premises I walked in the building I was not greeted with a hello or I will be right with you, I was just ignored. I wasn't just walking in to visit or anything like that I was fully prepared to get a haircut. The barber was doing at the time I arrived, so I didn't interrupt him by speaking, or verbally addressing him, but I made it very clear I was there, even making eye contact several times. All this was a little cold to me, but I was going to let it go until his conversation with his client was over and he still refused to acknowledge my presence with even a rude greeting which would've been better than the treatment I received.
I have been shopping around for a new stylist since moving to Bloomington, and I think Emily is my gal! She did a great job with my mane of super curly hair, and is very easy to talk to. Also, she occasionally brings her friendly and well behaved doggo named Moose. I wish I could also give Moose a rating of five stars, tbh.
Emily is a fantastic stylist. She listened to what I wanted and then made suggestions that would better suit my face/hair, but wasn't pushy. I'm so pleased with my cut; it's exactly what I wanted and looks great with minimal effort (yes!). Emily has also done color for me in the past and she's very talented in that department as well. I highly recommend her! And I'll add that Lumos has the MOST COMFORTABLE hair washing bowls I've ever laid my head in, parking was easy, and the space was relaxing.
