Signed up for a membership and was told I would be charged $22.95 a month not bi weekly. Then proceed to find out that I’ve been getting charged $22.95 bi weekly when I was never told that when I first signed up. If I was told that initially, I would’ve walked straight out because this gym is no where near worth $45.90 a month. Truly unbelievable how this gym is operating on false advertising.
So we contacted Anytime Fitness in Bloomington as we are thinking of changing fitness facilities. We receive four emails reminding us of a time when we are scheduled to meet. We arrive on time and greeted a couple minutes later and asked to wait in outer foyer. Well after waiting about five minutes, we just walked in the unlocked door and told representative we will look through the facility ourselves. Representative never did meet with us and eventually we just left after 15 minutes. No part of this experience had any customer service except for the numerous email reminders for a meeting where we met with no one from Anytime Fitness. Pathetic! Machines were rather dirty and dated as showing signs of rust. Showers are in the restrooms, certainly not a locker room. Very few folks wearing masks on machines or lifting weight.
My roommate and I both work out at Anytime Fitness! The staff here is exceptionally friendly and always open for questions! Their attitude of seeking real communal relationships , inclusivity, and positivity is well reflected in the values they strive to cultivate within this Gym! A great atmosphere to build your overall health!
I have been to a multitude of Anytime Fitness clubs both in Indiana and around the country. This is by far a sad excuse for what the chain is supposed to represent. None of the equipment is up to the standard set by the chain in all of its other locations. The owners and trainers need to get the equipment updated. Furthermore, they are hardly catering to the average college student, which should be your target demographic considering you are in Bloomington, because there is a huge lack of racks as well as other typical weight lifting equipment. Most of the equipment does not even seem to work properly, way to screw over your members with the Precor brand garbage that NO OTHER LOCATION USES. Get updated and I may considering fixing this.
I needed a gym membership as the student gym on campus is still closed. I was really wary about getting a membership anywhere else besides the campus gym as I have been lifting there for 4 years and worked there for almost 3.nnWell let me tell you that Anytime Fitness is an amazing gym hands down and I made NO mistake choosing to get my membership here.nnSince I worked at a gym myself in member services for so long.. I am very critical of other establishments customer service and the report they have with their participants.nnAny employee in the gym that I have talked to has had great customer service skills and has made me feel comfortable in a new environment.nnFinally, signing up you get a free one hour session with their personal trainer Zack. I am usually against this type of stuff cause it seems like it turns into a “cars saleman” type of thing. I WAS TOTALLY WRONG. Immediately on my tour with the office personnel, Zack took a few minutes to introduce himself to me and just make conversation. I took notice to how friendly & personable he was when he was working with his clients.nnI hadn’t even signed up for my free session yet, but Zack kept giving me tips & showing me new exercises & giving me feedback on his own accord/free time. Then once I finally had my session is was amazing! I have lifted for around 4 years and there is a continuous learning curve. I like the moves I know and am comfortable with. Zack really took the time to explain to me why doing new moves and surprising your body is a better approach.nnAt no point did I feel dumb or feel embarrassed even though I was doing all new moves to me. He gave me a whole plan to begin following during just one session & any questions I have I just text him!nnYou can tell Zack cares about his job, about his clients, and about the environment his clients are put into. He makes sure to know everyone’s name that walks through that door and remember it so he can say hi next time they come in.nnI am telling you I never leave reviews because I don’t have time for all that.. but I just HAD to leave a review for here because my experience here has exceeded my expectations!
