I brought my new Mazda CX-9 about a month ago to have it inspected before purchasing, and James was SO great! Seriously, we had a blast laughing and talking, and he was so kind. I felt like I was a family friend the whole time, and the experience was quick and efficient. It was very clean as well, and just a calm environment (which is especially nice when you’re a mom and that’s not a thing you experience often). Thank you, James, for making what could have been a stressful experience very fun and professional to boot!
I will never go to another dealership! They have my business for life! They really make you feel at home and welcome. Never a burden. They take time to really listen! You will never find a dealership like this one.
This place has absolutely terrible customer service. We had an “we owe you” from the dealership upon purchasing our vehicle that had a windshield crack in it. The “we owe you” was for the repair of said windshield. Upon multiple attempts at getting the repair even scheduled we had no call backs/responses. Then finally a response and a scheduled time. We brought the car in and the service center had not a clue what we were talking about as far as the repair, finally after confusion at the dealership we were provided a loaner vehicle. On top of that Zach (who we purchased the car from) apologized for the inconvenience and told my husband the car would be washed if able to with the repair and the gas filled up as courtesy. The next day we get a call stating that this crack had already been filled and fixed prior and there was nothing more that could be done and to pick up our vehicle. They did NOTHING to fix the crack. So the car still has a crack in the windshield that has been completely visible since the day we purchased the car 5 months ago and that we were told would be fixed. On top of that the car was dirtier and was not filled with gas upon pick up. CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS TERRIBLE. Would not and will not recommend as they do not back up anything they say yet alone contract.
Excellent experience. I was in no rush, shopped around every dealership with CX-5 trim I wanted within 250 miles of me (I’m in Chicago), researched a bunch. Other places gave lots of the typical BS you might expect when buying a car, but everyone at Skillman West was professional. Didn’t do the ‘hard sell’ technique, kept focus on what mattered to me personally (total cost, particular features, easy acquisition during COVID, etc.), could not have been more professional or easy to work with. Josh Stewart happened to be the guy who took care of me, and he was great, but so was everyone else I spoke with during my long/patient buying process at this dealer. Plus, I got a fantastic deal I feel great about. This place really is a cut above all the other dealerships I contacted, so I’m writing this review out of respect for the professional culture they’ve got going - I wish this type of culture were less rare.
This has been my go-to dealership since I bought my Mazda 3 in 2012, so over 8 years now. I’ve never had a problem with them. Their service has always been good, even today when they patched a nail in my tire.nnSo why the 1 star review?nnMask compliance at this location is abysmal. Employees wearing it over their mouth but not their nose... employees wearing it over their chin... employees not wearing one at all... Customers in the waiting room having taken their masks off... etc, etc, etc.nnI watched in horror as the tech that got out of my car didn’t have a mask on at all. He could have coughed all over the interior of my car, who knows? I then had to get in it and touch all the surfaces he touched and breathed/coughed on.nnWe’re losing over 1,000 Americans a day right now... 200,000 in total... and it’s because of things like this. WEAR YOUR MASKS, PEOPLE.
